Good luck Holidaying! I can’t rate this Hotell experience to more than a 2 stars. We had a car and we actually did not spend much time in the Hotell or Lacona for that matter. But I highly recommend to have a car or a motorbike/scooter.
Al in al we think that Lacona was a good spot for a base for reaching al the beautifull beaches and places around the island of Elba. The kids club take up a lot of this hotel attention, and it’s noisy. we clearly see that this is a hotell for parents whit kids under 16-17.
We did not actually understand what the difference was and I’m sure is happy that I did not pay more to have acsess to the “upper class” sun bed department. To find the right sun beds we had to go through embarrassment because we clearly was laying down at the expensive ones. we payd for the minimum pack that was around 80 euro for 5 nights stay for 2 persons. You have to pay a som sort og service fee on checkin.? This is for you to use the pool and the Hotell sun beds at the beach (later on the sun beds) They said that this was informed in the booking sight. You do not have WiFi in the room, only in the common spaces. And you can’t have a bar tab on the room. The breakfast started out good the start of the week and went down in quality throughout the week.

We did not by the full package when we like to go out and eat on other restaurants, so i can’t say anything about the food. The pool area including the pool is good. As I said, I really wanted to like it and say I’d stay again, but it would have to be super on sale I think for me to go there again.… The staff, Myriam and Andrea were very pleasant and friendly, but I was really annoyed at the fact that after mentioning three times in the conversation that we slept terribly bc the AC didn’t work that there wasn’t a discount of any kind offered even just not charging the pet fee would have been fine-but nada! They also charge for everything….water in the room, parking, pet fee. But there wasn’t any hot water in the sink and the shower doors quite literally turned the bathroom floor into a pool. Finally got to another room in the “new” section. Went down and they were like, “it’s working now?” I said no and they brought me to two other rooms….neither room had the AC working well when he turned it on. Miserable night sleep later and 11am and no contact from the front. They told us they’d let the day shift know. Went back down and insisted there has to be something they can do. Went to the front desk and was told nothing we can do. When we returned it was still the same temp as the AC wasn’t working. We went out for a couple of hours to let the room cool down as it was at 30C (90+F). We couldn’t figure it out and so someone came from the front desk to get it going. We checked in at about 930 pm and they hadn’t turned on the AC. I REALLY wanted to like this place and say I would stay again, but I can’t.
